Funerals

Whether sudden or expected, the death of a loved one can leave you with an overwhelming sense of loss and despair. We are here to support you practically, emotionally and spiritually. If you would like to talk to member of the clergy please contact the church office using the button below. You may also like to look at our  page Pastoral Care.

We have a close relationship with the local funeral directors. While preparing for a funeral you will meet with a member of the clergy to discuss all aspects of the service: readings, tributes, music, prayers. You may find it helpful to look at the Church of England Website   by clicking on this link: The Funeral Service Step by Step

We provide options for burial for those who lived in the parish, including our Labyrinth for the burial of ashes. For further information please contact us and check our 'Churchyard' page: St John's Churchyard

We also run  Bereavement Courses at St John's. For more information on the content of the course please visit:
