The Bereavement Journey

The Bereavement Journey is a place to talk – 6 Sessions of films and discussion for anyone, whether grieving a death now, or wanting to explore a previous bereavement that may be unresolved or happened some time ago. It is designed for those of all faiths or none. There is an additional 7th Session for those who want to explore a faith perspective on bereavement and loss.

WHAT IS ALPHA?

Many of us have questions about life, faith and meaning. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of Christian faith.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?

Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Alpha runs in our church building. Each session starts with a short video and a discussion in a small group where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge. Alpha will run weekly on a Monday at 8 pm and each session will starts with refreshments and something to eat.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Alpha is free.

WHEN'S THE NEXT ALPHA?

Alpha starts on Monday 7th September at 8pm (coffee and refreshments served from 7.30pm)

all souls SUNday service 1st NOVEMber at 4pm

This year we will again have a special church service to give time to remember those we have loved and lost. This will be on All Souls Sunday 2nd November at 4pm.

We we hold our annual outdoor Remembrance Sunday Service at St John's Churchyard, commemorating service members who have died in wars and other military conflicts since the onset of World War I

Join us for our Pumpkin Carving Sunday Service here at St John’s Church.

Whether you have toddlers, teenagers, or you’re an adult who loves getting creative, everyone is warmly invited.

This morning is all about, community, and sharing a bright, joyful time together.

Important note: Don't forget to bring your own pumpkin to carve

Our Coffee Bar is open every Tuesday and Thursday at 8.30 - 9 am

Our church will also be open during daylight hours for personal-prayer and our midweek church services

Every Monday at 10.30am

Toddler Time is for any children who are under the age of 5 to come and join with their parent/ carer/ childminder in a morning of toys, snacks, songs and stories and meet others in a welcoming environment. If you think this is your kind of thing then why not join us on a Monday (starting in Sept) at 10.30am. We look forward to seeing you!
