A Life Worth Living Course

A 9-session video resource based on Nicky Gumbel's book. It’s a simple and practical introduction to the letter to the Philippians. Each episode includes places to pause and questions for you to discuss in your groups, along with opportunities for you to pray together. Each session starts at 7.45 pm and will run for approximately 1 hour.

WHAT IS ALPHA?

Many of us have questions about life, faith and meaning. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of Christian faith.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?

Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Alpha runs in our church building. Each session starts with a short video and a discussion in a small group where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge. Alpha will run weekly on a Monday at 8 pm and each session will starts with refreshments and something to eat.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Alpha is free.

WHEN'S THE NEXT ALPHA?

Alpha starts on Monday 7th September at 8pm (coffee and refreshments served from 7.30pm)

How to enter your category?

Pay £1 per entry, bring your entries to St John's Church on: Friday 25th September 4 - 6 PM or Saturday 26th September 9 - 11 AM (Judging will take place on Saturday between 11 AM and 1 PM)

Notice: THERE WILL BE NO TODDLER TIME IN AUGUST

Toddler Time starts again in September and will be every Monday at 10.30am

Toddler Time is for any children who are under the age of 5 to come and join with their parent/ carer/ childminder in a morning of toys, snacks, songs and stories and meet others in a welcoming environment. If you think this is your kind of thing then why not join us on a Monday (starting in Sept) at 10.30am. We look forward to seeing you!
